Ever woke up in the morning feeling listless but knowing that you have a ton of things to achieve that day, and do none of them?
Ever experience the lack of desire to get out of bed and face the day?
Do you mainly depend on outside influences to give you motivation to achieve your goals?
Motivation is something that many of us fight back and forth with. Our motivation is intrinsically linked with our emotional state of being. If we feel low mentally, our motivation is low. If we feel energetic and happy and positive, our motivation spikes and initiative steps in.
Success is not something that can be achieved overnight. It’s also not something that can be achieved by procrastination or dependence on someone else.
Everyday should be seen as an opportunity, an open door to work harder, strive harder, do better and move closer toward your goals.
This may seem tiresome and difficult but, the best part is knowing that as you persevere and see your achievements, it will push closer to achieving your goals.
Know that the only person limiting you from success is you. Your imagination is what feeds your creativity. If you don’t push yourself no one is going to do it for you. You are and should be your biggest cheerleaders.
Procrastination is also a large factor that delays goal achievement. Many times I have said to myself “I will draft that e-mail later” or “I’ll practice later” and never do it. All that does is push back my short and long term goals. Not sending that email could mean a lost opportunity. Not practicing can limit my growth. All of these things are determined solely by me.
Manifest. Manifest. Manifest. If you can dream it, then wish it and then DO it. Dream big and do bigger.
You know the saying “Good things come to those who wait?” That doesn’t always ring true when you want to be successful. Success doesn’t just come to you. You have to work hard and smart for it. The only way to succeed is by making it happen, putting in the work and waiting for it to bear fruit. As you do this, you will realize that the harder you work to achieve something, the greater you feel when you do.
Never allow yourself to be distracted by negative talk from others. It is not your concern what other persons think of you. The most important opinion is your own.
Remember that even the smallest milestones are still accomplishments and still count them on the path to achieving your success.
Know that you are in control of achieving your goals and only you can stop yourself from achieving them. Goals give you purpose, accomplishments give you drive and lead you to success, your ultimate goal.
